Hi everyone! Hope your January is going well. Gael and I are putting the finishing touches on the next 50 States of Fear book. It should be ready soon:) More on that later.
In the meantime, I came across this children's book quotes collection (presented by quotery.com) and wanted to share some with you. Children's books have such an impact on us for the rest of our lives that it's a heartwarming feeling to remember some of the standout lines. Check out the full graphic at the above link, and then tell us some of your all-time favorite lines from children's books! My picks are below....
As a dedicated chocolate lover, I have to say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was one of my formative reading experiences as a kid.
The movie captured my favorite lines from the book beautifully in this scene:
As the world becomes a more scary place and kindness becomes a rare commodity, this quote gets more and more powerful. So shines a good deed in a weary, weary world...
The second movie clip I'm just including for laughs because it reminds me of a bad day teaching. *g*
Have a great week, everyone. Well now you got me started on the Gene Wilder track. (Huge fan!!!) Just for fun I leave you with another great line from Young Frankenstein. What's up with that hair???
