Rice Krispy Pumpkins with candy inside!
First off, we want to send out our thoughts and prayers to all our those on the East Coast who've been impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We hope your recovery efforts go smoothly and swiftly and that life gets back to normal for you soon. Hang in there.
In our town, as in many others, because of the hurricane, trick-or-treating has been moved to Saturday night, so we'll report back then with new pix of our dog in this year's costume. Hint: it's green. *g* (And he hates it, but it's REALLY cute. lol.)
In the meanwhile, I found this awesome recipe for an easy, crowd-pleaser of a treat that you can still make in time for Saturday if you're going to be seeing friends/family on Halloween. Who doesn't love Rice Krispy Treats - they're EASY to make, yes, even for kid chefs, and they're PUMPKINS - how perfect is that - plus they have a candy surprise inside. That's what I'm talking about!
Here's the recipe or you can click over to the Rice Krispies Website if you want to print it out on a recipe card. Enjoy, my leedle pumpkins! Recipe makes 12 pumpkins.
